Legoland Malaysia!

as promised on instagram, i will be blogging on my trip to legoland! i found a deal on gmarket, now known as qoo10 - SGD $69 for a two-way transport, entrance fee, insurance and dinner. dinner was not bad at all for the price we paid. there was shark's fins, prawns, fish, etc.

so the day started at 8.30am at newton food centre and the bus left at 9am sharp for the immigrations. clearing the singapore customs was really fast, but we were stuck at malaysia's for more than 40 minutes. it was then that i found out about this new thing called the MACS which allows you to cut all the really long queues at the malaysian customs. we were scheduled to reach legoland at 11am but we only did so around 12.30pm due to the customs and traffic.

wanted to take the Pharoah's Revenge, as shown on the left side of the ticket, but it was closed! could only take it's picture instead!

we stopped by a booth where you have to shoot some hoops to win an angry bird plushie. it looks really easy from the front. the basket was wide and not very far away, but we were wondering why we don't see a lot of people winning and carrying around the plushie in the park. turns out that when you look at the basket from the side, it is really quite small. just nice for the ball to pass through so you have to be really accurate!

the tour guide told us that there was going to be this Asia's tallest christmas tree set up in the park. but the tallest christmas tree we found was this:

and it's not at all tall.

on the way to the 4D show on "Curse of the Spellbreaker":

the show is really made for kids. actually, everything in the park is! so we were kind of bored. we went for another show only to find out that it teaches children about the dangers of their own homes, such as the power socket, fireplace, and i don't know what else because we left halfway through. the queues for the rides have long waiting time as well, ranging from 30 minutes to 90 minutes. given the limited time we have, we did not take any rides. except for the kiddy toy train ride, which brings you around the park!

wanted to queue for The Dragon but we were running out of time. don't mix that up with the Dragon's Apprentice which is just opposite it because that's meant for younger children. instead, we headed to Miniland for some photo taking!

on the way to Miniland - The Observatory Tower.

Singapore in Miniland!

The Kuala Lumpur Twin Tower!

Thailand.

Cambodia's Ankor Wat.

and some other random places!

and we met Einstein there! he never fails to drive me mad.

on a side note, i would recommend that you check out those food places opposite legoland for meals instead. they should be cheaper and taste better than the fast food sold in legoland. they have the familiar restaurants and fast food such as Manhattan's Fish Market, Old Town White Coffee and KFC.

after covering nearly 76 acres, we were totally worn out! before we left, i saw a few people taking pictures of the sky. and so i did too!

question! does anyone knows how to make my twitter widget show? it appears in my preview but i can't see it on the blog!
